Andante is a wool canvas in four slow rows: short lines of chestnut, caramel and cream wool, each one stitched by hand on a natural cotton-and-wool ground. In music, andante is a walking pace, and that is the rhythm here: calm, even, never in a hurry. Up close you see the twist of every strand; from across the room it reads as quiet, warm texture.
