The maker

Meet Sónia, the hands behind every piece.

Sónia Bizarro has always been drawn to interiors: to the way a room comes together, and to the textures that make it feel lived in. In her Porto atelier she embroiders wool onto canvas, knots cotton cord into macramé and crochets small characters, one piece at a time.

It began at home, making pieces for her own walls alongside family life with her three children. Those pieces found their way to friends and private clients and, little by little, became Nyra Atelier.

Nothing here is made in series. Every piece takes days of handwork, keeps the small irregularities of the hand that made it, and is meant to be lived with for years.
